Police search for man who robbed La Quinta Verizon at gunpoint

Update: Police arrest two men, including Verizon employee

The La Quinta Police Department is looking for a man who robbed a Verizon store at gunpoint Wednesday night.

Officers said the man walked into the store, located in the 78000 block of Highway 111, pulled a gun on employees and demanded money and cell phones.

He ran away from the store on foot, heading south, according to witnesses. None of the employees were injured during the robbery.

Police said the suspect is described as a white man, 25 to 30-years-old, 6’2″
tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a red and black beanie, blue plaid shirt and blue jeans. Witnesses said no vehicle was seen in the area.
