Police search for suspects after shots fired in Palm Springs

The Palm Springs Police Department was called to the Desert Highland area around 11:30 a.m. Friday after witnesses reported hearing gunshots. Officers responded to Tramview Road, just west of Indian Canyon Drive.

Police found evidence of the shooting near Tramview Road and El Dorado Boulevard. Shell casings were in the roadway when News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 arrived to the scene.

Officers searched the neighborhood and local hospitals for possible victims, but it doesn’t appear that anyone was shot.

It appeared that police were keying in on a home on El Dorado Boulevard, but they didn’t elaborate.

The investigation is ongoing and no additional information is available at this time. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Palm Springs police at 760-327-1441, or Valley Crime Stoppers at 760-341-7867.

We’ll have more information for you as soon as we hear back from police.
