Third person arrested in connection to Carl’s Jr. armed robbery in Coachella

A known gang member has been arrested in connection to a robbery at a Carl’s Jr. Restaurant in Coachella.

The robbery happened at the fast food restaurant located on the 50000 block of Harrison Street at 8:45 p.m. on Oct. 6, 2014.

A follow-up investigation led to the arrest of Benjamin Zaragoza, 21, at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Angel Alvarado, 19, was arrested during the October 6th incident. A 17-year old juvenile and known Coachella gang member was arrested for his involvement in the armed-robbery during the month of November. Both Alvarado and the juvenile remain in custody.

Zaragoza was booked into the Indio Jail on suspicion of robbery and using a firearm in the commission of a crime. His bail has been set at $105,000.
