Coachella Valley has first confirmed case of measles

The Riverside County Health Department confirms the Coachella Valley has first case of confirmed measles.

According to Barbara Cole, of the Health Department, the first confirmed case is an adult and is not involved in any school setting.

The Health Department is currently trying to identify any individuals that may have been exposed by the new victim.

This is the 5th confirmed case in Riverside County. The case at Palm Desert High School is still only being called a suspected case, that case sent 66 students home Wednesday, 10 have since returned after having proper vaccination documentation.
