Crash closes Dillon Rd. at landfill
UPDATE: The road is back open. CHP reported only minor injuries.
A crash between a semi and a pickup truck closed Dillon Road at the landfill Saturday morning, California Highway Patrol reported.
At 6:08 a.m., CHP reported a semi truck and a white Ford Ranger collided in front of the landfill. The semi rolled over, trapping the driver inside.
CalFire was on scene to assist CHP with the crash.Traffic was closed at the crash site to north and southbound drivers.
The semi, leaking engine oil, needed a heavy tow truck to be lifted upright and cleared from the scene.
Injuries and/or drivers’ identities are not known at this time.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
