3 adults displaced after house catches fire in Windy Point
Three people are now out of their home after a fire broke out in Windy Point, a community in the northwest Palm Springs area along Highway 111.
The Palm Springs Fire Department and Cal Fire crews responded to a call around 3:45 a.m. Wednesday on the 15000 block of La Vida Drive.
That’s where they found a home fully engulfed in flames. It took crews 30 minutes to knock down the fire. The home is a total loss except for the garage.
Fire crews say three people were in the home at the time of the fire and the alarm woke them up. They were able to salvage some items from the garage.
No injuries were reported and no other homes were damaged.
The investigation is ongoing.
