Bicyclist dies in hit-and-run in Cathedral City

UPDATE 12:25 a.m. – Palm Springs Police say all lanes on Dinah Shore are now open.

Cathedral City police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run accident on the Dinah Shore Bridge.

It happened around 9:00 p.m. Police say a male in his late 30s, early 40s on his bike was killed after he was hit by an unknown vehicle.

His bike was found in the median on the eastbound side of Dinah Shore just west of Whispering Palms. He was found on the westbound side about 50 feet away.

Both lanes of Dinah Shore are expected to be closed for several hours.
