Police search for armed man who robbed Boost Mobile in Palm Springs

The search is on for an armed man who robbed a Boost Mobile Store in Palm Springs just after 7:00 p.m. Tuesday.

The store is located at 4651 East Ramon Road.

A manhunt extended to the area of Sunny Dunes and Vella Streets shortly after it happened and was called off hours later when the suspect couldn’t be located.

Nearby residents received a “code red” alert that an armed suspect was seen running through the area. Police used a helicopter to help in their initial search but were unsuccessful.

The robber is described as Hispanic, about 5’5″, with a medium build, short black hair, no facial hair, and he possibly has a tattoo on his face, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.

He was wearing a gray sweatshirt, a red watch, and blue gloves.

If you see someone matching that description, contact Palm Springs police or Valley Crime Stoppers at 760-341-STOP.
