Children’s Discovery Museum celebrates ‘Boo at the Boo!seum’
Children of all ages explored the Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert as it transformed into “Boo at the Boo!seum” in Rancho Mirage Saturday .
Kids took turns getting their faces painted and experimenting in the Creatively Creepy Lab.
Some brave children even took a turn getting slimy at the Slime Station. Organizers said the Boo!seum is a good alternative to trick-or-treating.
“Help children learn and discover and we want them to try new things instead of just coming by and grabbing a piece of candy,” said Lianne Gayler, Museum Director of Marketing. “We want them to come in and actually learn how something works … do something exciting that’s different that they’ve never seen before.”
Participants also enjoyed a costume parade through the museum.
If you missed Saturday’s event, not to worry, the museum will host its Fall Family Extravaganza on Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
