Brandini Toffee opens new factory for further growth

New address: 42250 Bob Hope Drive, Rancho Mirage

In 2006 the dream began in small hotel kitchen, and now an 11,000 square foot factory off of Bob Hope Drive. Brandini Toffee continues to build a brand name right here in the Coachella Valley.

“We’re a handmade product, so as much as we might grow as a company, one of the most rewarding things is that as we grow we are going to have more people involved, whether it’s production or sales, and so on, it’s so rewarding to have people that are part of the company and hopefully as passionate about it as we are.” Brandon Weimer, the Co-Founder of the company said.

Facilities doubled in size and that means more jobs for the community. An expected 75 to 100 employees soon to be working under the Brandini name.

“This shop will open our capacity to having more staff, this year I expect us to have 75-100 employees, we have a location in Palm Springs as well. We can’t fit more people on the floor, we can have more here.” Weimer added.

“This has been a huge step forward right now, but it’s just the beginning. Long way to go but this is going to be something big.” Claudia Yanez, a supervisor at the company said.

What started in the side room of a hotel, this 11,000 square foot factory is creating nearly 300-pounds of popcorn per batch, and they just keep on growing.

“We have a Palm Springs shop opened 2-years ago, that kind of sparked the idea of hey perhaps we can get another store open and succeed with it. Right now we are looking at Cabazon, the Desert Hills Outlet, we are in negotiations right now and very optimistic that will work out within the next month. Assuming that goes to plan we will open in September, and assuming that goes well it will be a nice stepping stone out of the valley.” Weimer said

One thing is for certain, the toffee keeps bringing people back.

“I normally don’t like to eat candy but we tried this when we went to your other store, it’s very addictive and we made the special trip just to pick this up.”
