Military members receive free rides on PS Tramway through July

People serving in the military can ride the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway in July for free starting Friday — part of the yearly offer extended to all members of the Armed Forces.

The tramway’s annual “Military Days” will provide all active and retired military members with the opportunity to enjoy hiking and dining at the tramway’s Mountain Station and Mt. San Jacinto State Park free of charge throughout the month.

In addition, up to six guests can ride up the mountain with 25 percent off their regular Tramway fares.

“For over a decade, Military Days has been our way of saying `Thank you’ to the dedicated men and women of the United States Armed Forces — along with their friends and families. We are delighted to welcome them back again this July,” said Nancy Nichols, Tramway Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

Valid military identification is needed to receive free admission. Tickets are usually $24.95 for adults.
