Will more security cameras deter crime in Downtown Palm Springs?

They’re always watching over; closed circuit TV cameras have been used by the city of Palm Springs for years now to help effectively police its downtown area, and keep people safe from crime.

But there’s one place you won’t find those cameras — the city’s parking structure off of Baristo Road.

In the latest News Channel 3 I-Team report, Jeff Stahl takes a look at crime there, and whether more security cameras might make a difference. The area does have a history of shootings, stabbings, fights and other crimes over the years.
