Arrest made in Desert Hot Springs burglaries

A 19-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for his suspected involvement in a series of Desert Hot Springs residential burglaries, which police say he committed with several other outstanding suspects.

Marcus White, of Desert Hot Springs, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree residential burglary, said Cpl. Christopher Saucier.

White was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio, where he was being held in lieu of $210,000 bail.

Police say a month-long investigation led to officers identifying White as one of several suspects involved in a series of home burglaries in the city.

White was taken into custody at 10 a.m., but Saucier said, “Additional suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing.”

Anyone with information on the burglaries was asked to call Saucier at (760) 329-2904, ext. 382.
