Jacqueline Cochran Air Show returns to the East Valley

The 11th annual Jacqueline Cochran Air Show attracted thousands of people to the east end of the valley Saturday afternoon.

The show featured dynamic air performances, specialty merchandise, and lots of food. Aviation enthusiasts of all ages had the opportunity to take pictures of, and even explore, a variety of specialty aircrafts.

“People get to see some aircraft they haven’t seen in quite a while. They’ll also get to see some exceptional flying this afternoon. We have the Patriots air team doing some high maneuver flying, so it’s really a thrill for people who normally don’t see this aircraft up close. So it’s a really great opportunity for them,” said Gretchen Gutierrez with the Palm Springs Air Museum.

Many of the military and civilian aircraft on display can be seen year-round at the Palm Springs Air Museum.
