Indio man accused of burglarizing 15 Coachella businesses
An Indio man already in custody on alleged burglary and vehicle theft charges could face several new charges for allegedly burglarizing 15 businesses throughout the city of Coachella, sheriff’s deputies said today.
Ignacio Zazueta, 22, is the subject of an investigation completed Thursday into a series of commercial burglaries that occurred between Sept. 5 and Oct. 11, 2016 in Coachella, sheriff’s Sgt. Robert Castro said.
Small business owners with stores along Avenue 48, Harrison Street and Grapefruit Boulevard reported night time losses and damage to their businesses, Castro said, 15 of which investigators recently linked to Zazueta.
He has been in custody since Nov. 21 and has four pending court cases for burglary, plus a vehicle theft case, according to court records.
He is next due in court Monday for four scheduled felony settlement.
