DHS native & 2016 Olympic bronze medalist nominated for USA Athlete of the Month

In the 2016 Olympics from Rio, Desert Hot Springs native Sarah Robles took home the bronze medal becoming the first United States weightlifting medalist since 2000. In July at the Pan American Championships Robles took home the women’s total, snatch, and clean & jerk titles to extend her unbeaten streak to four consecutive competitions this year. She was nominated for USA Athlete of the Month and voting will continue till midnight, Tuesday the 8th.
