Holocaust survivor honored on her 88th birthday
A Holocaust survivor who resides in the valley celebrated her 88th birthday with her family and friends, along with a local congressman.
Congressman Dr. Raul Ruiz visited Fein at her Palm Desert home to honor her inspiring story of survival. Ruiz presented her with an Extensions of Remarks so that her inspiring story of survival will be forever archived in the Congressional Record.
Fein was a young girl living in Yugoslavia when she spent four years as a prison in three different concentration camps.
Fein thanked the congressman for his visit, “Ruiz, I’m deeply touched. this is one of the highlights, the few highlights of my life. Thank you so very much.”
