People get a closer look at eclipse at observatory
It’s the first coast to coast eclipse in about a century. Some people who visited Sky’s the Limit Observatory in Twentynine Palms Monday morning say they had the best seats in the desert.
“I think this is the best place to be to see such an experience and to see the eclipse,” said Jerome Nevicato from Paris.
People used protective glasses and solar telescopes for a closer look.
“Oh yeah! You can see a little bit of moon coming through,” said Robert Deloyd of Joshua Tree.
One man used his own protective gear to watch the eclipse.
“While your welding it blocks out the sparks, so it helps with the eclipse,” said Alberto Delgado from Los Angeles.
The next solar eclipse to cross the United States is just 7 years away, billed for 2024.
