Indio police investigate deadly shooting
Detectives with the Indio Police Department are investigating a deadly shooting after a 20-year-old man was killed Saturday evening.
Police said they received a 911 call just before 5 p.m. from a 24-year-old man who told police he shot someone. Police responded to the call on the 82000 block of Garden Avenue. Indio police said they found the 20-year-old suffering from a gun shot wound.
The victim was taken to a local area hospital in serious condition. He later died from the injuries.
Indio police couldn’t release any other information regarding the shooting because it remains under investigation.
