Undercover sting leads to several arrests in high desert

Eight people in the high desert have been arrested for furnishing alcohol to a minor. The arrests stem from a sting done in Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms on Friday.

The Morongo Valley Sheriff’s Department said deputies worked with juvenile decoys at several liquor stores. The minors asked patrons to purchase alcohol or tobacco for them.

All of the suspects, who remained unnamed, were arrested, issued citations and are awaiting their court dates.
