ORIGINAL STORY:
CAL FIRE/Riverside County firefighters are continuing to contain a wildfire that broke out Saturday near San Timoteo Canyon Road and Fisherman’s Retreat. The Palmer Fire is estimated to have burned 3,800 acres and is 35 percent contained, as of Sunday night at 7 p.m.
All mandatory Evacuations have been lifted.
A large and small animal evacuation center is located at the Yucaipa Equestrian Center at 13273 California Street and G Street in Yucaipa.
One-hundred homes on the Riverside County side and 9 homes on the Redlands City side were evacuated for a total of nearly 450 residents.
The fire was first reported at 1:33 p.m. on Saturday. More than 450 firefighters are fighting the fire and several helicopters are available.
