TRAFFIC ALERT: Signal lights out at Palm Drive and Varner Road

Traffic was backed up on Palm Drive in Cathedral City after an early morning collision that damaged a traffic signal pole.

Traffic signals were not working at Palm Drive and Dillon Road after the wreck, minutes before 5:00 a.m.

Palm Drive is a major traffic corridor between Desert Hot Springs and the rest of the Coachella Valley.

Power crews were on scene working to restore service.

There was no report of any injuries.
