Road reopened after multi-car crash in Cathedral City

Several people were sent to the hospital after a multi-car crash on Ramon Road and Landau Boulevard in Cathedral City on Wednesday afternoon.

The crash happened around 2:15 p.m. and according to witnesses a pickup truck pulling a cement mixer plowed into a Mercedes that was stopped waiting for the light to change.

Authorities closed off the intersection – Ramon Road from Landau Boulevard for westbound traffic and from Crossley Road for eastbound traffic.

Roads were closed for a significant amount of time but have reopened.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
