Memorial service held for Pattie Daly Caruso

A memorial service was held Saturday for local media icon and philanthropist, Pattie Daly Caruso.

Father Lincoln led a Mass in honor of Caruso at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Palm Desert. All were invited to attend the memorial.

Caruso died of a heart attack in her Palm Desert home Sunday She was 73-years-old. She is survived by her husband Richard Caruso, daughter Quinn Daly, who works in public relations and son Carson Daly, known for his television work on “The Today Show,” “The Voice” and MTV’s “TRL.” and her grandchildren.

Caruso hosted the Coachella Valley’s longest running local television show, Valley Views. The show broadcasted for more than 25 years highlighting local businesses, celebrities and prominent figures. She was a breast cancer survivor and worked to raise money for a number of local charities.

While living in the Coachella Valley, Caruso was honored as “First Lady of the Desert”, “Desert Woman of the Year”, and was awarded a star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars, among other awards.

Carson Daly took to Twitter Monday; “There are no words for the loss of mom. Thank u for the incredible outpouring of love. It helps. Please hug the ones you love most tonight”.
