Firefighters battle Tamarisk tree fire in Indio
Firefighters are working to contain a Tamarisk tree fire in Indio on Wednesday morning.
Cal Fire received the call shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Country Club Drive and Adams Street near the I-10.
No structures are threatened from the quarter-acre tamarisk tree fire.
The railroad next to the line of trees has been closed down and a Union Pacific representative has been called to assess the scene.
According to CHP, Country Club has been closed down for the time being.
