Riverside County Fair to award scholarships
The deadline to enter for a chance to win for the Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival’s Queen Scheherazade Pageant and Magic Carpet Music Scholarship is approaching.
There will be three awards handed in the Queen Scheherazade Pageant, which is open to girls who are at least 17-years-old by the day of the Pageant and have not reached the age of 22 by the Fair’s opening day.
All participants must be students within Riverside County. The Pageant takes place on November 18.
The Queen Scheherazade winner will be awarded a $3,500 scholarship and the Princesses Dunyazade and Jasmine will each be awarded $3,000.
Applications for the pageant must submitted before October 11 at 4:00 p.m.
The 3rd Annual Magic Carpet Music Scholarship Competition, held on November 19, is an opportunity for young artists to showcase their skills.
The competition will include three categories contestants can participate in: vocal, instrumental, and original composition. Each winner will receive a $1,500 scholarship.
All applicants must live in Riverside County with a 2.0 GPA and be at least 17 years of age by the day of the competition.
