Fugitive Rancho Mirage plastic surgeon sentenced to 20 years in Federal Prison.
Dr. David M. Morrow, a former plastic surgeon in Rancho Mirage currently on the run after breaching his plea deal, was sentenced in absentia to 20 years in federal prison by a United States District judge Friday afternoon.
Morrow and his wife pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and filing a false tax return in 2016 along with his part in a fraud scheme that duped tens of millions of dollars from health insurance companies by billing plastic surgery procedures as medically necessary.
Morrow and his wife, Linda Morrow, are believed to have fled in May 2017 after failing to report to court officials, among other things, the sale of their $9.45 million home in Beverly Hills.
Charges against his wife are currently pending.
