Bicyclist killed in Yucca Valley collision

A bicyclist was struck and killed in a collision with a car in Yucca Valley on Thursday.

A male adult was riding a bicycle and pulling a small trailer, eastbound along Twentynine Palms Highway in the number two eastbound traffic lane, near Prescott Avenue.

A driver identified as Diego Kim, was driving eastbound in the number two eastbound lane of Twentynine Palms Highway and struck the cyclist from behind.

The cyclist was taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.

The identity of the cyclist is withheld, pending notification of next of kin.
