Two men arrested after authorites find narcotics and guns in Coachella residence
43-year-old Coachella resident Michael Clagett and 28-year-old Mariano Haddis, both Coachella residents, were arrested Friday after authorities found narcotics and guns inside a residence in Thermal.
On Friday, authorities from multiple agencies served a narcotics-related search warrant at a residence located in the 83-400 block of Puma Dorado Court, in the city of Coachella, according to a press release from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
According to deputies, the search warrant resulted in the confiscation of approximately two pounds of suspected methamphetamine, approximately one pound of suspected cocaine, two shotguns, five handguns, and two assault rifles that were located inside of the residence.
Narcotics located at this location exceeded an approximate street value of $35,000.
Authorities also found two juveniles (ages 3 & 4) inside the residence, Child Protective Services and Drug Endangered Children Investigators responded to conduct their investigation.
Clagett was arrested for Possession of Cocaine for Sales, Possession of Methamphetamine for Sales, Felon in Possession of Firearms, Felon in Possession of Ammo and Child Endangerment.
28-year-old Mariano Haddis was arrested for Child Endangerment.
Both suspects were booked into the Riverside County jail, located in the city of Indio.

The search warrant involved deputies and officers assigned to the Coachella Valley Narcotics Task Force (CVNTF), with assistance from the Coachella Community Action Team, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Departments Special Investigations Bureau, and the Palm Springs DEA Narcotics Task Force.
