Two people killed in crash on Hwy 62 in Yucca Valley
Two people are dead following an accident on Hwy 62 and La Honda Way in Yucca Valley. , a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputy on scene confirmed.
San Bernardino County Sheriff’s say paramedics were called at 2:07 p.m. after two vehicles collided head-on.
Paramedics responded and the driver of the 2010 Toyota sedan, 83-year-old Doreen Hollingsworth of Yucca Valley was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the same vehicle was found to be an 83-year-old male resident of Morongo Valley who was also pronounced dead at the scene.
His name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the collision.
According to the California Highway Patrol, roads will be shut down on both sides until before 9:00 pm.
