Car wash fundraiser for toddler’s funeral expenses

A car wash fundraiser is being held this weekend. The money raised will go towards paying the funeral expenses for Parker Lee, a toddler murdered in Yucca Valley earlier this month.

The car wash will be held Saturday, Feb. 24 starting at 9:00 am at the Hi-Desert Star Newspaper building on 56445 29 Palms Hwy in Yucca Valley.

Parker, 1, was allegedly murdered by his mother’s boyfriend, Arthur Thomas Davies, on Feb. 10. Parker was declared brain dead on the evening of Feb. 12. Family, neighbors and the community gathered the next night to honor and remember Parker.

Davies plead not guilty to murder charges and is being held $1 million bail. He is scheduled to appear in court again on Feb 21 & 22.

If you can’t make it to Yucca Valley for the car wash, the family has also set-up a GoFundMe.
