Whitewater home burned in fire
Firefighters responded to a fire in Whitewater near the Interstate 10 freeway.
It broke out Saturday night at 8:11 p.m. on Cottonwood Road and Marble Drive.
Both Cal Fire-Riverside County Firefighters and the Morongo Fire Department responded to the call of a residential structure fire.
When they arrived, a single-family residence and 1/4 of an acre of vegetation were involved with fire. The fire has been contained.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
