AAP-Food Samaritans hosts 25th annual ‘Evening Under the Stars’

Hundreds came out to Palm Springs Saturday night to support AAP-Food Samaritans at their 25th annual Evening Under the Stars gala.

The event took place at the O’Donnell Golf Club.

The event is the largest annual fundraiser for the organization, that provides nutritional support, including food vouchers, for low-income people living with HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses.

“It helps out everybody, in all illnesses,” Tony Marchese, AAP-Food Samaritans President and Owner of Trio and AC3 said. “We’re no longer just HIV. We do everything from HIV, to cancer, whoever needs help. They fit a category. They apply and come in. and they get their vouchers.”

The night included an awards program, a silent auction featuring artwork and entertainment headlined by Grammy-winning singer Gladys Knight.
