Preschoolers celebrate graduation from Martha’s Village & Kitchen

Ten pre-school graduates are now moving on to the next step of their lives.

The students graduated from the Child Development Center at Martha’s Village and Kitchen in Indio, putting on a performance for their teachers and their families before receiving their diplomas.

The center offers free childcare to more than fifty children ages zero through five-years-old for families that are going through tough times. It is funded through several fundraising events including their annual 5-k Thanksgiving Day run as well as through grants and other foundations.

“It’s our favorite time of the year because all of our work is wrapped up in one day. I know that they’re ready for the next step in their education and I know we play a big role in that step,” said Rosa Torres, senior manager of programs at Martha’s Village.

The students will now be moving on to kindergartens around the valley.
