On Tuesday, Aiden Vasquez spoke out against bullying during a Palm Springs Unified School District board meeting. Mark Hamill, who is best known for his role as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars series, was sure to back up his newly-minted brother in the Force.

Vasquez, who was allegedly bullied at Two Bunch Palms Elementary, had some strong words to say to the packed room at the board meeting.

“All I want is for every single kid to be safe, that’s all I want,” said Aiden Vasquez, the boy who was allegedly bullied at Two Bunch Palms Elementary.

In one of the most recent installments of the Star Wars series, The Last Jedi, Hamill’s character’s last action of the film is one of pacifism, choosing a path of nonviolence against one of the film’s villains.

“SHOUT OUT to Aiden Vazquez for his courage & wisdom in the face of adversity,” reads Hamill’s tweet. “I’m so proud of you for showing that you can be a Jedi in real life. Congratulations, Aiden- The Force will be with YOU… Always!!! Your fan, mh”
