Local police agencies participate in ‘Pink Patch Project’ in fight to end breast cancer
Update – 10/02/18:
The Indio Police Department revealed today the department is also participating in the ‘Pink Patch Project.’ If you’d like to buy the Indio Police round patch, send an email to pinkpatch@indiopoa.org. proceeds from all sales will be donated to fund research and raising awareness for all types of cancer.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department also announced today deputies will wear a Pink Patch Pin. These pins are available to buy at the LEAPS Store located at the Ben Clark Training Center on 16791 Davis Avenue Riverside, CA 92518. The store is open Monday through Thursday from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Update – 10/01/18:
Starting today, officers from the Cathedral City, Desert Hot Springs, and Palm Springs Police Departments will be wearing pink patches on their uniforms as a part of the “Pink Patch Project.”
The departments join 260 other law enforcement agencies participating in the project. The patches will be provided at the station through the month of October to those who make a $10 donation.

The proceeds will be donated to benefit the desert cancer foundation. Last year, the DHSPD pink patch project raised $2,100 for the National Law Enforcement Cancer Support Foundation, for their on-going support of breast cancer research and providing services to breast cancer survivors.
