Palm Springs Police Officer returns to work after brain surgery

Palm Springs Police Officer Bryan Perez returned to work today for the first time since having brain surgery.

Officer Perez has been with the Palm Springs Police Department for three years. On July 27, he underwent surgery to remove a tumor. According to the Joe Cooke Palm Springs Police Officers’ Association, the tumor was the size of a small orange.

After three months of recovery, Perez finally returned to his regular shift today, working a patrol shift. As of 8:45 p.m., he is still responding to calls.
