Woman thrown from golf cart, killed in collision
UPDATE: Deputies say the elderly woman in the golf cart died after being transported to a local hospital.

Deputies are on scene investigating a crash involving a vehicle and a golf cart.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, a woman in the golf cart was ejected.
A Cal Fire official confirmed she was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
A neighbor told News Channel 3 the woman was 89 years old and has been transported to Desert Regional Medical Center.
An RSO spokesperson confirmed the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene. Deputies do not believe drugs and or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
Deputies are interviewing witnesses to learn more about the crash. We have a crew at the scene gathering more information, check back for updates.
