Suspect in custody after Coachella pursuit

A suspect is now in custody after leading deputies on a pursuit.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, deputies located a driver who appeared intoxicated at 10:40 p.m. The driver failed to yield and led police on a pursuit until they stopped at the Cedar Springs Apartments in Coachella.

The suspect went into a residence but ultimately came out. They are now in custody, RSO confirmed.

We have received numerous messages and calls about heavy police presence in the area.
