County gas prices drop 41 consecutive days
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped today for the 41st consecutive day, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $3.427, its lowest amount since March 22.
The average price has dropped 37.4 cents over the past 41 days, including 1.6 cents on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 9.9 cents less than one week ago and 29.1 cents lower than one month ago, but 29.1 cents more than one year ago. The average price has risen 35.4 cents since the start of the year.
As of this Tuesday morning, four gas stations in Yucca Valley had regular gas prices per gallon listed below three dollars.
The streak of dropping prices is the longest since a 45-day streak from Jan. 12-Feb. 25, 2016, when that average also included figures from San Bernardino County.
