Body of missing 80 year-old Idyllwild man has been found
Authorities say they found the body of missing 80 year-old David Bradish, last seen on North Circle Drive of Idyllwild. The Hemet Sheriff’s Department did not release information on where or when he was found.
The family of David Bradish said he suffered from stage-two Alzheimer’s dementia and may not have remembered how to get himself home.
Bradish was last seen Monday, November 26th on the 54500 block of North Circle Drive in Idyllwild. Bradish is 6 feet tall, 180 pounds and was last seen wearing a black denim jacket, black denim pants, a black baseball cap, black shoes and glasses.
” Losing a family member has always been probably my deepest fear,” said Jennifer Bradish, the man’s daughter-in-law.
He disappeared from his back porch at his home in the mountains nearly a week ago with his dog, Ginger, a dark red cocker mix.
“He had just gotten back from a walk with the dog and our guess is that he forgot that he already walked the dog and took her for another walk, or the dog ran off and he chased after it and got lost ,” said Meghan O’Brien, the missing man’s granddaughter. “He’s on heart and memory medication daily so every day that he’s gone he’s more at risk.”
They say he could have traveled far, but his condition makes the disappearance more concerning.
“He can walk all day long and just keep going and going,” O’Brien said. “I don’t know that he remembers that he’s been walking all day or anything even.”
“He’s an Alzheimer’s patient and he can be really okay one moment and then the next moment not,” Bradish said.
