Bystanders aid motorcyclist injured in collision
A crash scene in Palm Springs brought bystanders rushing to aid an injured motorcyclist who collided with a car in Palm Springs Sunday afternoon.
It happened just after 2:30 p.m. Sunday on Farrell Drive and Highway 111. Palm Springs Police say there were conflicting reports of the cause, but the driver of the car, a Chevy Cruz, was not injured.
Palm Springs fire crews locked out the motorcyclist’s neck and transported him to Desert Regional Medical Center. He suffered lacerations and abrasions to his lower legs and knees, and there were concerns of head or spinal trauma.
A group of bystanders rushed to help following the crash, police confirmed, with one person even providing a pillow. They worked together to remove the motorcycle from the street.
