Reports of shooting at Hyatt Regency ‘unsubstantiated’

UPDATE: 12:21 P.M. – Reports of a shooting at the Hyatt Regency Resort adn Spa in Indian Wells are unsubstantiated, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies had received reports of possible shots fired at the resort at around 10:15 a.m.

Room-to-room searches were conducted in the building and no evidence of a shooting was found.

There is a heavy police presence at the Indian Wells Conference Center a the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa in Indian Wells.

The resort has been partially evacuated while law enforcement searches the area. The call initially came in as a report of a “suspicious circumstance”.

Deputies are currently searching the area, not for suspects. The sweep is to ensure that the area is safe.

The incident was reported shortly after 10:15 a.m. No injuries have been reported.
