Eight miles of Box Canyon Road to close for months for repairs

A large stretch of Box Canyon Road in Mecca will be closed for several months for repairs.

The repair work is scheduled for March 18 to June 1.

According to a tweet from RivCoTrans, these repairs activities will happen during the closure

Repair damaged roadway Pave new roadway Remove/dispose debris

The closure will affect eight miles of Box Canyon Road, “easterly of the All American Canal in Mecca” according to RivCoTrans.
