RSO determines bomb threat at Palm Desert Charter Middle School a ‘hoax’

A bomb threat reported at Palm Desert Charter Middle School has been determined to be a hoax, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department public information officer Robyn Flores confirmed.

According to Flores, about 50 students and staff who were still at the school and at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School next door were evacuated. The school is located on 74200 Rutledge Way near the intersection of Portola Avenue and Magnesia Falls Drive.

Deputies searched the campus and found no evidence of a suspicious device in the school.
