Golf tournament for Marines held in Indio

Marines stationed in Twentynine Palms and Camp Pendleton were treated to a round of golf.

It was all apart of 12th annual Marine Day Golf Tournament at Heritage Palms in Indio.

The active duty U.S. Marines got to play 18 holes of golf with club members and other guests and then were treated to a luncheon.

“So, we had over 40 Marines come in and they were all enthusiastic. I got to play with a gentleman who could hit the ball forever and it made my life a lot of fun,” said Peter Grashoff, president of Heritage Palms Golf Club & co-chairman of the tournament.

Club members paid for their rounds and the money was used to purchase prizes for the Marines who did well in the tournament.
