Rollover causes traffic backup on I-10 westbound

A rollover crash is causing a significant backup on I-10 westbound near the Jefferson Street exit in Indio.

The vehicle, a Silver Toyota Camry, appears to have rolled over and then crashed into the center divider.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and CAL FIRE are on scene. The airbags in the vehicle did not deploy during the collision. One lane is currently closed.

A semi-truck was also seen pulled over on the side of the road near the collision with cosmetic damage.

Two women sustained moderate injuries in the crash and have been transported to an area hospital for treatment.
