Authorities identify woman killed in desert crash

The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office has released the identity of the woman killed in a rollover crash last week in Desert Hot Springs.

Police say Beatriz Perez, 45, of Desert Hot Springs Perez crashed into head-on into a concrete and steel art sculpture and a concrete base while she was traveling southbound on Palm Drive, north of Two Bunch Palms Trail last Friday at around 2:25 a.m. Officers say Perez’s vehicle then rolled over several times and ejected Perez.

Perez was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead less than an hour later.

Police confirmed Perez was the sole occupant of the vehicle. No other people were injured.
