Police search for Missing Coachella Valley couple, Family makes pleas for help

The families of a 26-year-old Coachella woman and 28-year-old Palm Desert man are asking for help as they haven’t been heard from since Wednesday night. Audrey Moran and her boyfriend, Jonathan Reynoso, were last seen in a ‘selfie’ photograph taken at his home in Palm Desert.

Jonathan Reynoso’s mother, Mayra Torres, is making a plea for help.

“I wouldn’t wish anything like this to a mom. You see all sorts of scenarios. Where are they? Are they well? Are they tired? Are they cold? Are they safe? No one knows,” Torres said.

The Indio Police Department used On-Star to locate her car, which was found parked on I-10 near Beaumont Friday at 9 a.m.

Torres says blood hounds traced Reynoso and Moran’s scents 50 feet from Moran’s parked car.

“It went as far as 50 feet out and then after that the scent was lost. So what does that mean? Were they picked up? Were they lifted up? Were they hurt right then and there and transported? No one knows, no one knows anything,” Torres said.

Torres has message for anyone who may be involved.

“If you have them, let them go. Let them be free. Let them come home. People are waiting for them. If they’re hurt, if it’s already been done, then let us know, so we can put them to rest. Don’t leave them wherever they are. And if the funny thing is, they just went off, please come home,” Torres said.

Police said there are no signs of foul play and they are currently searching for both Audrey and her boyfriend, Jonathan.

Audrey Moran’s car was pulled to the side of I-10, west of Oak Valley Parkway. Officers said there were no signs of foul play upon the preliminary investigation. The vehicle was being towed back to Indio Friday morning, according to Sgt. Dan Marshall with the Indio Police Department.
