Son of Anza homicide victim arrested for murder

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department revealed the suspect arrested in connection with the death of a man in Anza Wednesday morning was the victim's son.

David Jose Holguin, 40, of Anza was found dead following reports of a shooting in the 39000 block of Cary Road.

The investigation led to the arrest of David's son, Anthony Holguin, 22, of Anza early Thursday morning for his alleged involvement in the death.

The Sheriff's Department confirmed Anthony Holguin was arrested for murder. Jail records show that Anthony also faces felony charges of 2nd degree burglary and vehicle theft. He is being held without bail at the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta.
